So for those following along with my complete first word problem of not finding exactly what I needed in the grocery store, today I decided to cook the recipe. Moral of the story is the recipe turns out super yummy and you should make it!
However, I got everything out to start cooking, and the first problem was after all of the store problems yesterday, I forgot an onion. (Cue the best husband who took Eli, ran across the street for an onion, while I prepped the rest of the food).
Second problem is we have one knife… And this one knife doesn’t cut. Like legit doesn’t cut haha. So I had to stab the tomatoes, then attempt to cut them. So I stacked tomatoes in the middle of the pile so it wasn’t as apparant that I just half-way tore them apart ha! If I do say so myself, I think I did pretty good cooking this whole meal with 2 pots, 1 pan, 1 knife, and this one tablespoon! The knife is now on our shopping list once I figure out this new Amazon Prime UK business along with some kitchen utensils since we have zero!
And while mom was cooking, the boys were hard at work!
Also, for those following along with Eli’s sleeping problems, he is doing SOOO much better! Nap yesterday was rough. During bedtime yesterday, Joe sat by his door to tell him to lay down if he heard him, and he only tried to get up TWO TIMES! Yes two times. (And might I add for the grandparents who think we are over here ignoring our child, he is not crying… Like at all… Literally he just climbs out and doesn’t even make a peep. And when we tell him to lay down he quickly lays down, tucks his arms under him like he always does, and either laughs or smiles at us… This is all a game! haha). Then today during nap, he went to sleep extremely easy!! And tonight, so far so good!!! So hopefully this buys us a few more weeks or months in a baby crib! Wishful thinking here just a little.
Today we also tried Monkey Music, which Eli big puffy heart loved to say the least! We took Music Together some back in the states, so I kinda knew what I was getting into, but guys I can’t understand them… I already have a hard time understanding people with British accents when they talk fast, but singing and British accents, was a no go!
We weren’t supposed to take pictures in Monkey Music, so this is us trying to be discrete… double chins and all!
- We are finally figuring out how to navigate in the rain with the stroller rain cover (see picture below)
- I need to start listening to British TV shows so I can understand locals better.
- Eli is a much happier boy now that he’s sleeping better!
- The process of getting a bank account here is serious business…. we are hoping to get one tomorrow! Fingers crossed!
- I hope we made the right decision with the location of this flat.
- Tomorrow we go try Little Gym, so we will be navigating the tubes more than we have been! Stay tuned!
