Saturday after an intense boxing class where I will never be partners with my husband again (no offense but I need somebody my own size and weaker), and a few wrong bus rides, we finally made our way down to Portobello and Golborne Market. And yes-I did go here a few days ago with just Eli and I, but I clearly didn’t know what I was doing and Saturday is the day to go!
We had a blast walking through the crowds on Portobello, looking at the street vendors, and smelling all of the yummy food! We walked all the way down Portobello Road until it hit Golborne Road, because we were told this is the place to go!
We got some amazing pastries, shopped some quaint little shops, and got Eli’s stroller filled up with yummy fruits and vegetables for the week!
On the way home, we decided to take the long trek back and walk through Notting Hill, past Holland Park, and back to our house. We also stopped in the American grocery store, and we now know where to go when we need Fruit Loops, Wheat Thins, or loads of candy! Ha! If only they carried Girl Scout cookies or Boom Chicka Pop white cheddar popcorn, I would be their best customer! Saturday was a great outing with our little family!
Suggestions for next time:
- Go earlier, so we don’t have a hangry toddler while trying to explore our food options
- Bring more cash for the street vendors! (Specifically more coins for the farmers market portion)
- Bring the smaller stroller (Babyzen Yoyo) or carry him in a carrier
