So as most of you know, we stayed in temporary housing for a month before making a move to our more permanent location (hopefully for the rest of our time in London) Now that we have moved, I wanted to document our favorite things in the area. We were staying at Earls Court and Cromwell Road in a fantastic flat. While I didn’t love the stairs that I had to pull the stroller up and down with a heavy toddler, we loved the location. There was a Sainsbury’s right across the street that we could get late night snacks, quick drinks, etc. Also, our favorite restaurant was right nearby! Maroosh! We literally lived there. They had amazing breakfasts, lattes, lunch, and dinner options! We love the tabbouleh, kibbeh, sambousek lamb, and the roast lamb or chicken with vermicelli rice. I grew up eating Lebanese food and this is the closest to what my Mimi cooks, by far!
There was also many other great restaurants nearby. There was a yummy Italian place close, a quick kebab place, and a few yummy pizza joints.
Another favorite of the area was our close walk to the Old Brompton Library. I spent many afternoons there with Eli playing, and I’m sure we will still be going back there on occasion to play!
We also loved to walk down to the local Paul for dessert after dinner, which was super yum! We were also a quick less than 10 minute walk to High Street Kensington where you can find larger grocers stores, H&M, Zara, many more restaurants, etc. We will miss our little Earls Court flat, and if you are ever coming to stay in London, we would recommend this Airbnb. We loved it, and I’m sure you would to!
