As Joseph and I were planning for the move across the pond, I was frantically researching activities that Eli and I could do during the day. One place that kept popping up that I couldn’t wait to try was The Diana Memorial Playground.
We had went a few times, but had trouble getting the hours straight and either arrived as they were about to close, or they had already closed. I have since learned that they will start to stay open later and later as we near summer with the latest closing time being 7:45 pm in May-August. So if you are heading here for an afternoon of play, make sure to check the hours online before you go!
When my mom was here, we finally found a good time to go that we could catch all the action on a rare nice warm day in February!
While the pirate ship is AMAZING and there were tons of kiddos playing on it, Eli preferred the slide in the back. He would climb up the wood ramp, run across the long playground, then slide down the metal slide! There are so many different areas of this huge playground, that I couldn’t capture it all! You just have to go see in person. This playground is perfect for all ages walking +. There are also large semi-wooded areas for kids to just run free and play. The best part is that the playground is all enclosed with a gate, so you don’t have to worry if you have a little escape artist like Eli!
He climbed up to slide down this slide no less than 30 times, and when we went to leave in an hour, he was covered in dirt! I say that is a successful day! Also, just another perk that he was so exhausted he took a THREE HOUR NAP this day! So maybe we will be headed to this playground daily!
